Marka acquires chain restaurant Reem Al Bawadi
The first public joint stock company Marka PJSC (DFM: MARKA) has purchased the Award-Winning Middle Eastern restaurant chain Reem Al Bawadi. Marka Hospitality targets the fast-growing food and beverages sector in the UAE, has taken full ownership of the home-grown brand serving Middle Eastern cuisine for AED 315 million.
The 14-year-old Reem Al Bawadi owns and operates four outlets in Dubai and after this acquisition deal, Marka expects to open two company-owned outlets this year, one each in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and three franchise outlets in Al Ain, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
