|| The UK publicly traded company acquired Abu Dhabi firm for $19 million

Ultra DascamOn December 1, Ultra Electronics Holdings, a UK publicly traded defense and aerospace company announced the acquisition of an Abu Dhabi based defense consulting company for $19 million.

(The acquired company, Dascam consulting, is a leading defense consultancy in the Middle East, providing specialist resources which deliver customized consultancy and training services for the defense, security and Government infrastructure markets in the region.)

Dascam’s revenue for 2008 was about $24m, generating an EBIT margin of about 15%. The company, established in 2001, employs 140 people in Abu Dhabi.
