|| KKR Enters the Middle East - with Lehman MD as First Hire

KKR (Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co), the global alternative asset manager firm is entering the Middle East. They just announced that Makram Azar will be joining them as Managing Director and Head of Middle East and North Africa (“MENA”).

Who is Makram? Originally from Lebanon, he was the Managing Director of Lehman Brothers Dubai, a veteran with 18 years of experience at Lehman. He is going to set up an office for KKR in the region and will begin to recruit professionals to support this new initiative. Read an interview with Makram here.
