Bahrain-based investment firm, Investcorp, has announced that it has acquired Residence Inn Manhattan Beach, a Marriott hotel in Los Angeles for $40 million.

They had recently announced acquiring Coral Palm Plaza, a shopping center located in Coral Springs, Florida, in their third recent real estate investment in the US with a total value of $120 million.

Investcorp, the Bahrain-based private equity firm, has acquired a majority stake in eviivo, an online reservation system provider from the UK for $49 million.

With headquarters in London, eviivo has 80 staff and partners with more than 4,400 independent businesses in the UK.

Investcorp, an asset management firm specializing in alternative investments, hosted a two-day hedge fund conference that brought together figures from global finance with Gulf-based clients.

The Investcorp Hedge Funds Investor Conference included panel discussions and presentations from the firm's hedge funds business as well as from portfolio managers of the hedge funds in its Single Manager Platform according to Mohammed Al-Shroogi, President of Investcorp's Gulf business.

Investcorp, the Bahrain-based asset management firm specialising in alternative investments, acquired Deerbrook Marketplace, a 348,542 square foot retail shopping centre in Houston, Texas.

Located in north suburban Houston, Deerbrook is home to US retail chains such as Sports Authority, Best Buy, Bed Bath and Beyond, Marshalls, OfficeMax and Old Navy, as well as food chains such as Red Lobster and TGI Fridays. Investcorp and their investors own over 20 other properties in that area.
