Abu Dhabi private equity firm Masdar Capital announced plans to form a renewable energy project platform, in partnership with Development Bank of Japan for investments in North America and Europe.

Masdar Capital currently has over $540 million invested across the Masdar Clean Tech Fund and DB Masdar Clean Tech Fund, jointly managed with partners.

eCullet Inc., a technology-based glass processing company with corporate headquarters in Palo Alto, California, has announced the closing of an up to $38 million investment in the company led by DB Masdar Clean Tech Fund.

DB Masdar Clean Tech Fund is a clean-tech and renewable energy investment fund and is launched by Abu Dhabi-based Masdar Capital and Deutsche Bank. Masdar Capital currently manages two clean technology funds with assets worth over $540 million.
